After the conclusion of Sandance, there was a break in the Dubai party market. It was only a matter of time before someone decided to fill the space. DXBeach was held at Zero Gravity, a venue located on the beach near Sky Dive Dubai. The event commenced at 12 noon, with a full day of artists and performers on the sand.

The two head liners for the event were Jess Glynne and Mark Ronson, to say i was excited is completely an understatement. Having been to many many Sandances in my time, i was extremely interested to see how this event would fill the break in the market for this type of event. It is however no wonder that these such artists are making their way to the Middle East. The Middle East is one of the few markets in the world for artists where they have the opportunity to perform to any and all echelons, cultures and ages.

This year alone there has been some massive names come to the UAE. For example Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Robbie Williams. The UAE is currently the place to be for massive named artists to perform and strut their stuff. DXBeach weekend for me was fascinating, i got to party and celebrate with friends, let my hair down. It was an awesome line up with performances from Sneaky Sound System, Jess Glynne, Mark Ronson, Smokeingroove and more. The event was sponsored by Rayban and supported by Zero Gravity. For me it was an amazing weekend, really good entertainment and was a great event.

Towards the end of the event i got to meet Jess Glynne and have a drink with her. It was an experience i would not have been able to get elsewhere in the world. She is such a nice person and a very humble performer. I then also at some point through out the evening i broke my toe... not sure how that happened. Regardless of this it was an enjoyable event and it is no wonder why these types of events are successful. The UAE is all about work hard and play even harder. I look forward to the next event which is to be scheduled for October after summer.
